RULES

Knock up time - 15 mins only at start of each event
Most events play 5 matches of 17 minutes with 3 minutes between matches when you move to your next court.
Timings are signalled by a whistle.
Always leave balls at the bottom of net & retrieve any that have gone astray.
  • “Sudden death” at 2nd deuce: receiver chooses who receives the serve on this deciding point.
  • If you reach 7-7, you play a tie break - unlikely given the time constraints.
  • Maximum score in any one segment is 8 games, when the contest stops. You can play on for fun but the score is frozen.

    The objective is to win as many games as possible and highest scorers in each group go forward to semi-finals and finals.

SCORING
1 point for each game won.
Score unfinished games this way please:
       15 = 0.2     30 = 0.4    40 = 0.6     deuce = 0.8 each   advan = 0.9

Examples
(a) If you lead 3 games to 2 & you lead unfinished game 40-30, you show 3.6, opponent 2.4.
(b) If you have “advantage” in unfinished game, you show 3.9, opponent 2.8
