Recycling Balls
Caroline D is our amazing ball recycling champion. On behalf of the club, she works with Islington Council and GLL to recycle used tennis balls at Highbury Fields.
Please leave used balls in the park keepers' hut at Highbury Fields or hand them direct to Caroline - they must be dry. Caroline collects them from the hut and coordinates collections every time numbers reach 200.
The club receives £24 for every 200 balls that are collected which we use for the benefit of Highbury Fields users generally.
So far we have put the money raised towards buying a defibrillator (in the Highbury Fields hut and the staff are trained in its use), new good quality benches on all courts and large windbreak screens on the courts.
We work with Recycaball, a charity that takes balls from venues around the country and saves them from going into landfill. Browse their website to find out more.

If you have any questions, please ask at the hut or speak to Caroline.
