2015 Good cause news update & photo
The 2015 Good Cause
Each year we make a donation to a good cause and in 2015 we supported
AFC Stoke Newington. This project was set up by Ian Bruce, a teacher at Stoke Newington School, who has created a female football club for school leavers and other young women. Ian runs five girls’ football teams at the school with outstanding results; they have notched up wins at borough, county and national levels including winning the prestige The Premier League Schools Tournament against over 1,500 schools.

Until now when these talented girls left school they stopped playing football but Ian has changed this and our money helped meet some of the set-up costs of creating AFC Stoke Newington.

More information can be found on this crowd-funder page:

Selecting this cause was a no brainer; we are passionate about women playing sport and we are almost all of us passionate about football - hard to be otherwise with our proximity to the Emirates Stadium.

We’ve asked Ian to give us updates on this project throughout the year ahead.
