SUMMER TOURNAMENT 2017

Highbury Tennis Tournament 18th June 2017

We had a fantastic day in glorious sunshine and thanks to everyone who played or came along to watch and special thanks to Wendy Proudfoot & Caroline Griffiths for all their organising, to the helpers on the day and to Islington's wonderful park-keepers - Eileen and Daniel were on duty on the day. We raised £171.35 for our good cause which means the Highbury Fields defibrillator has almost been paid for. Thanks to everyone who played or bought something on the day.

Some of the funding for the defibrillator comes from recycling old tennis balls so please help us by dropping in old balls at the park keeper's hut. We get 10p per ball. This is better for the environment than sending balls to landfill and we use the money raised to benefit all Highbury Fields users.

Click on the link below for more details about what happens to old balls.

Info about recycling tennis balls
The annual Highbury Tennis Tournament is a regular Highbury Fields fixture. As well as raising funds for the club, each year a donation is made in support of a good cause.
